- New FPAI president Renedy Singh headed the Indian delegation at the FIFPro Asia Board Meeting in Malaysia. Renedy Singh attended his first FIFPro meeting as the new president of the Football Players Association of India (FPAI) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday. The FIFPro Asia Board Meeting was held at the Empire Hotel and will continue on Friday 9th May. Also attending on behalf of India was Anuj Kichlu who is a member of the FIFPro Asia Board. The meeting consisted of representatives from countries including Australia, Japan, Indonesia, India, Malaysia South Korea, China, Palestine among others. One of the main points of discussion was the implementation of a Standard Contract across all clubs in India as well as the non-payment of several professional players in India. The issue of McDowell's Mohun Bagan agreeing to pay players from the last two seasons who were due wages from the club was also discussed.
