Last seasons struggling Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC have signed reliable defender L. Dhanachandra Singh on a two year contract from 2014 to 2016. Dhanachandra Singh joins the Mariners from city rivals United SC.

Dhanachandra Singh signed on the dotted line in the presence of Srinjoy Bose and Debashis Dutta, both Directors of United Mohun Bagan Football Team Pvt Ltd.

The Manipuri Dhanachandra has in the past played amongst others for USA (Manipur), Air India, Churchill Brothers SC, Mumbai FC and United SC.

Dhanachandra Singh, who the club hope will add stability to their defence, signed the contract yesterday in Kolkata at around 8:30pm at the residence of Srinjoy Bose.
